Wow. Mayweather actually had to work for this fight. I was impressed he fought in the trenches and in the pocket. But now people are saying things like, “If Cotto was able to give Mayweather trouble, and Pacquiao was able to TKO Cotto, then Pacquiao would light his ass up.”
Well ..using their logic we can also say the opposite. Marquez gave Pacquiao life and death 3 times. Remember what Mayweather did to Marquez? He completely outclassed him. Then people start to say things like, “Well ..Marquez is a lot smaller than Mayweather.” Which doesn’t make sense since Marquez and Pacquiao are virtually the same size ..they came up together through the weight classes, and yet Pacquiao isn’t smaller than Mayweather? Also let’s note that Pacquaio fought Cotto at a catch weight, and Mayweather fought Cotto at Cotto’s desired weight class.
There is no doubt that a fight with Pacquiao and Mayweather is going to be amazing. But I’m still rooting for Mayweather, because even though he’s a dick, he’s also a genius in the ring. And every sport needs a villain.
